MEDITATION

What is Meditation?
Meditation is a mind-body practice in complimentary and alternative medicine. Meditation is a practice of concentrated focus upon a sound, object, visualization, breath, movement or attention itself. This focus helps to increase awareness of the present moment, reduce stress, promote relaxation and enhance personal and spiritual growth.

There are many types of meditation, most of which originated in ancient religious and spiritual traditions. This practice is believed to result in a state of greater calmness and physical relaxation and psychological balance. Practicing meditation can change how a person relates to the flow of emotions and thoughts.
